These safety transformers are specifically designed to operate in harsh environments, such as high humidity, combined with heat, and chemicals typically found around pools and spas. The two piece enclosure is made from stainless steel or galvanized steel and electrostatically coated with powder paint in order to weather the elements. With cover removed, the high and low voltage compartments are fully exposed and the knock-outs make wiring extremely convenient. The transformer is made by the unique, two bobbin process and has a safety shield between the primary and secondary windings. In addition, the entire transformer is vacuum impregnated to resist moisture as well as for cooler, more efficient, and quieter operation. The output voltage of the secondary is selectable, depending on the input connections. All transformer models are safeguarded by an integral automatic-reset protector.
